Description
As a Backend Java Developer you will focus primarily on our IM Server backend. You will be involved in all stages of development within our Backend team, from specification to design, development, testing, debugging and maintenance. You are a hands-on team player, working with others in an agile development team (Scrum). You have extensive experience with various open source technologies and you are an ace in Serverside Java (Concurrency, Networking, Non-blocking I/O). You keep yourself up to date with the latest technologies.

Your role
- Implement new features and maintain existing code
- Keep up-to-date with new emerging technologies that might be useful for the development of current and new applications
- Ensuring software quality (including Unit tests, Load tests, etc.)
Your skills
- Computer Science Degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimal 5 years experience in advanced J2EE development.
- Good understanding of the application development process
- Excellent knowledge of Concurrency, Networking and Non-blocking I/O
- Fluent in English both reading and writing
- No 9-5 mentality
- Sense of humor and excellent communication skills
