Description

As a Mobile Java Developer you will focus primarily on our Android and J2ME products. You will be involved in all stages of development within our Mobile team, from specification to design, development, testing, debugging and maintenance. You are a hands-on team player, working with others in an agile development team (Scrum). You have extensive experience with various mobile technologies and you are an ace in Android and J2ME. You keep yourself up to date with the latest Mobile technologies.

Your role

• You will be part of a team designing and developing our Android and J2ME applications
• Add new features and improve existing ones
• Ensuring we deliver constantly best-of-breed quality applications
• Assist in debugging the application based on customer feedback and internal QA reports
• Ensure the application works as expected on the many handsets that we support

Your skills

• A Bachelor or Masters degree in Computer Science and have at least three years of experience with Java
• Mobile technologies like Android, J2ME, WAP, XHTML are an open book to you
• Knowledge of the various JSR's optional to MIDP
• An extensive experience with handset-porting issues related to J2ME
• Experience with client-server based frameworks
• In terms of Java programming skills, object-orientated design patterns should be a second nature to you
• You love writing efficient, artistic code with keen attention to detail
• Ability to see a project through to completion with minimum supervision
• As a seasoned professional your English language skills are excellent in both reading and writing
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• You embrace internet and mobile technololgies
